Who We Are

Hmong Health Alliance (HHA) is a non-profit student run organization based in California State University Sacramento. The organization was founded by a small group of students who felt that Sacramento State lacked a student organization who focused on health based majors, topics, and the well being of students. Since the founding on November 1, 2011 HHA has developed into one of the largest organizations on the Sacramento State campus. ​​​​

Our Mission

Hmong Health Alliance's purpose is to allow students to have a chance to emerge themselves in the community to create an environment where everyone can help each other out. "Making sure we hold their hands" - Dao. Hmong Health Alliance also seeks to give back to the community through active work in health based events. Hmong Health Alliance targets low income based members in the community to provide information and screenings related to medicine and health. One of HHA's biggest events during the spring, held by out Health Fair committee, is the Annual Community Health and Wellness Fair.

Our Accomplishments

Hmong Health Alliance has been recognized by many organizations for the work that we have done. In 2014, HHA received an award of recognition for service to the community from the city of Elk Grove. An organization that constantly wins awards at Sacramento States SOAL awards HHA took four out of seven awards in 2015.

Our Members

Hmong Health Alliance has had over 500 members to date. These members comes from all ethnicities, locations, and backgrounds making Hmong Health Alliance a plethora of diversity. Though HHA's members may have differing opinions and ideologies, a common theme across all of HHA's members is the notion of giving back to the community. Always keeping close to the idea of improvement HHA's members seek to better themselves through bettering their community.
